Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me, for I have sinned. Picked the daily okra this morning from the tall plants in the back yard as usual. Brought them in and removed the stems. Nothing wrong with the okra pods. They were not diseased or over-ripe. They were not insect damaged or deformed. But for some obscure reason, at that point, I just rebelled. Could not face another okra and scrambled eggs breakfast. It would have been the 4th one this week, the 9th or 10th one this month. Consider it an allergic reaction of the mind. I threw them into the compost bin and toasted up a bagel, topped it with cream cheese, ate it slowly with my tea. Will try to now go about the rest of my day, pretending nothing happened. I will say a hundred Hail Mary's when I finish watering the squash.

Lol. The wife has tried(and failed) to grow okra many times. we are in uk.
Enjoy your bounty 😋
I just made gumbo yesterday with a bag of frozen okra as there was no fresh to be found nearby. Maybe you could try a soup/stew if breakfast no longer suits?
Also, aren’t those flowers just so beautiful?
Did I write this? Haha I feel this so hard. Except I have tomatoes still producing, so those go in the eggs as well.
You can always donate or gift away foods that you don’t want!
Lol. I feel this in my soul. I breaded and fried all of mine last week and put it in the freezer I’m hoping they do alright in the air frier. I prefer them roasted but at this point I’m sick of them and need my kids to eat it for me.
Fresh okra every day sounds amazing, even if it gets tiring.
I put all mine in the freezer! They are good thawed and fried
Oh dear, the compost pile? Maybe bread and fry them up, then freeze them so you can have okra over the winter? Swap them out with neighbors?
Never saw how Okra grew!
