Hello everyone, a while ago you helped me with this (then new) succulent on another post, which I'm linking so you can see how it looked when I'd just received it.

My problem is that I don't know if I'm looking at a healthy plant now. I've been away for 5 months and left it in the care of my parents, to find it had drastically changed its shape (and the tiny baby grew up quite a bit!). My issue is, I watered it a couple of times since coming back two months ago, and while the top is nice and firm, the bottom always looks and feels somewhat shriveled (see second pic).
I have a history of overwatering my rosette-shaped succulents, so while my instinct would be to water it slightly more frequently, I'm wondering if maybe the pot is too small to retain enough water for the both of them.
What should I do?

Are a lot of the leaves like that? To me it looks thirsty and not overwatered. Most of them are not solid and have a firm squish? How are you watering?

Did the bottom leaves plump up after watering?

Your plant is beautiful but it does look thirsty. I don’t know if it’s correct but I top and bottom water in my sink about once a month. I generally leave it sitting in the water for a bit.

Definitely no expert. I water from the bottom now only when the leaves start to thin which seems to start at the bottom of the plant. Just switched to bottom watering. Don’t know yet if it’s a good idea tho. Lol

I find that the same succulents can change looks dramatically depending on season. In this pic are the same 3 (Graptoveria ‘Debbie’, Echeveria ‘Blue Heron’ & the lil Ech. ‘Neon Breakers’…oh & the stray Ech. Purple Pearl in the btm R pic). You can see how drastically they change depending on light, how dry or humid the air is in diff seasons or how on top of (or not) I am w/ watering as u can see in the Jan. pic lol.

For the most part I think yours looks healthy just got less light (hence the smaller leaves in the mounded shape) & could use a more frequent watering schedule!

Here’s one more example of one when I got it vs a few months later (right & btm pics) where I don’t have it in the best light bc I brought it inside and wasn’t as on top of my watering. U can see it developed the smaller leaves in the more mounded shape (bc the main stem stretches in the lessened light) and the leaves are no longer as plump. (She still pupped and bloomed tho later on.) Just up the light & water & you’ll be fine.
