This is my first year planting natives and it has given me so much joy!!!

Anise Hyssop was the flower that brought all the bees to the yard… until Bidens Aristosa (tickseed sunflower/beggars-ticks) bloomed.

  1. I scattered so many anise hyssop seeds, I got 1/2 lb of them, the only ones that actually came up is in my raised beds. At least now they make their own seeds and hopefully can spread beyond that, I never intended these beds to be a place for permanent perennials but more like my experiment site, but it’s evolving into the former.

Now that its getting chilly in the mornings I see lots of bees dozing, my goldenrods are the hot napping spot right now. Sleeping bees are so cute!
