She wanted me to post a photo of her violet and ask for assistance. She just recently transplanted it to a new pot which is why there’s some dirt on the leaves, but it was limp already beforehand.
Something isn’t right with roots if it was already limp. Was it a big pot too before (this is way too big). She needs to go into a much smaller pot (1/3 of the crown diameter). If there’s any sign of root rot they need to be cleaned as best as possible. Soil mix needs changing too – it needs to be very light (thin 50% perlite).
If uproot her again, check roots and potentially the stem for signs of rot and clean anything that looks rotten. Once clean remove bottom row of leaves as they’ll unlikely to bounce back, and then plant on a fresh soil in a small pot. Put under a dome to keep humidity up. It doesn’t seem like there’s enough roots to keep it alive – she needs to go into a mini glasshouse (dome, propagation box or a ziplock bag)

It seems to be in way too big of a pot and the roots are being soaked by too much water and empty soil. Try downsizing it to a pot JUST above the size of its root ball. It might go into shock but i do this method where if you put it into a big Ziploc bag and blow into the bag and close it, it will keep it as a humidity dome and give it something to breathe into (the carbon dioxide) and hopefully help it from shock?? But it does need more light, nothing direct tho.

The new pot is way too big, … which means there’s too much potting mix/water for the plant to manage. Put in it a smaller plastic pot with drainage holes … and pot with AV/houseplant potting with extra Perlite (white granules) mixed in.

The pot is way too big, for starters. If I haven’t learned anything else in this group, I’ve learned about too big pots.

In my experience, they can grow in pots that are considered too big just fine. I feel like there is something more going on.

Are the outer leaves all limp ?

Take some cuttings just in case – if the leaves are limp for more than a few days it is likely root rot is setting in
