I’ve had to trim my tree several times over the years, but I’m never completely satisfied with the results. I’m also unable to get it to grow branches lower on the trunk. I definitely need to cut back the branch that’s jutting out on the left. You can also see that it’s been hitting the ceiling and is curving back down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Honestly, you can’t do much the same thing will happen again. Have you considered getting a bigger house?

  2. I think it looks nice! I can tell you that the 50 people that are going to respond to you over the next few minutes are going to tell you to cut it down to 3.2 inches though. 😜

You’re gonna hate the answer but you need to chop the whole canopy and cut the trunk to about 3 ft high to get it branching in a better spot.

Trim the top and root it up in water
