Congratulations! Those are some fine specimens! I have several Tromboncino planted. Mine are about thigh high and starting to flower. I transplanted them later than planned (28 August) and am hoping they will still bear fruit before our predicted first frost date of 12 November (about 60 days from now.)
May I ask when you planted yours in their permanent homes? Did you direct seed them or start them indoors (I started mine indoors.) Also, I’m in NE Texas, up by the OK border. May I ask what part of the state you are in since the gardening seasons differ a lot from one part of Texas to another?
Also, are you doing anything special to protect yours from insect pests? In particular squash bugs and squash vine borers? Last year, I had to fend those off as well as cucumber beetles.
