My family member thought it would be a fabulous idea to plant a Jacaranda sapling last year, it’s grown very fast and I am concerned it’s a really stupid placement. It’s gonna make a mess, and from my very brief google search suggests the roots are gonna be very invasive. So I’m thinking I rip it out before it gets even bigger. What’s do you guys think?

Can confirm it’s bad placement. They get huge

Yeah the neighbours might want the light and clean lawn!

That’s a *really* bad placement. Jacarandas get huge, both of those fences would be compromised and being in the corner, 4 properties will be impacted.

    Get it out asap.

Definitely bad placement. It will completely shade cover the neighbours side too and expect the roots will start to disturb the fence eventually (but that will be a long way off).

We had one in our garden we removed last year that was 30+ years old (which i’m sad about). But that was pretty much on the boundary. Neighbour constantly complained about it, and they wanted to keep getting us to pay to cut it back. And if you have a pool (or neighbours do) they will hate you.

It was lifting the fence, and grew so fast we was constantly having to manage it.

Not my idea of fun anyway.

    Looked nice though!
