So my little rubber tree has struggled since I brought it home. Well I just noticed the stem was wrinkled. I lightly tugged on it and it all came out, super mushy đ root rot.
So I trimmed it to where the rot stopped and rinsed it in hydrogen peroxide.
Will this little guy propagate? Should I do sphagnum moss? Directly into dirt? Iâm hesitant with water cause I have never been successful with water propagation. Please help!!
Also, should I glue the end with the fresh cut? Dip in rooting powder? Put wax on it? Iâve seen a lot of different answers.

Let it callous for a day and then put it in a damp substrate and increase humidity. Eventually if it grows and puts out 2-3 new leaves you can repot it but for now keep it in high humidity and before repotting it after it grows youâll want to acclimate it to less humidity.
I have seen WAY better progress in similar cuttings with sphagnum moss + a humidity dome! I dip the nodes in a rooting powder and sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on it as well as the surface of the sphagnum and itâs worked for me, hope your baby thrives
