Did you happen to get your seeds from Ferry Morse?
Couple years ago I bought (against my better judgement — I dislike Ferry Morse, even by hardware store seed standards) seeds for Krim and C. Purple off one of their seed racks & both were random red slicers. Other people on reddit had the same issue, with seeds from them packed for 2023 and (iirc) 2024 as well.

The skin color doesn’t look like any of the Cherokee Purple I’ve ever grown. Did you have any other beefsteak type of seed? If not, It might be a mixup from the seed company. If this one tastes good, you save some of the seed and try it again next year to see if it’s some other heirloom beefsteak.
