As you can see, everything in these two beds, but this last pumpkin have a big issue with vine bores. We don’t use any pesticides. We’ve tried the organic stuff. really haven’t found nothing great yet, but we got rid of the cucumbers in each one of these spots. There’s eight. I got collards started. Well, I got seeds. So, we’re direct sewing. Couple rows of carrots here. Got me a curly kale there in the middle. Hopefully here within the week all this stuff will sprout. I got some zucchini, one on each corner of this bed. We’re kind of tight on space this go around, so we’re doing the best we can with our spacing. But I got a cabbage on each end of this bed. And I got some Swiss chard. So basically, this little bed is going to be all spinach. try to get as many spinach plants as you know they stay fairly small. So if I can get 10 or 12 in there, that’ll be plenty for us. And any extra space that we have, which all in the middle of this bed, maybe even in between a couple of those, we’re going to put lettuce cuz we love lettuce. It’s my favorite thing to grow. Going to grow as much as we can fit out here. And I still have two pots of soil there. all Promix. So, I may may go into those as well. Only pepper plant we still have is this cayenne, which we process this. We make our own cayenne powder. It’s really good. It’s way better than the stores. It’s a little hotter and it has way more flavor. Still got the mint in there. Got our mulberry and of course the orchard. Need to get some yard work done around here. Our blueberry bushes. But that’s the plan with the garden.

  1. Unlike squash, pumpkin is easily fixed if you have vine borer issues. Just bury the entire vine and leave the leaves out. Every leave node will grow roots so you can lose the stem where the borer did damage and it be completely fine
