Her larger leaves are coated in what appears to be a thin, white coat of a dusty substance, and they’re not soft like the younger leaves. If I rub on them, a little bit will come off, almost like a sort of stubborn dust. They’re also yellowing.

Also, her blooms have little brown spots. I saw a very small white bug disappear into the flower pictured, which got me worried.

I don’t know how the school watered her prior to the raffle, the type of soil she’s in, or how much sunlight she got. I literally just got her today. They handed her to me alongside a massive beautiful terracotta pot and told me good luck

Grats on the adenium! The school was taking good care of it. Thems pretty blossoms. I grew one from seed and it never flowered before giving up the ghost.

The white powder may be plant food residue left from foliar feeding. Little white bugs may be aphid.

Adenium obesum is native to Africa and thrive in arid regions, so soil and water accordingly. Sandy/rocky dry soil.

The white powder could just be calcium from hard tap water

For as much as these are talked about being hard to care for, I find them extremely easy and resilient

Do you know anything about them before I go on a monologue lol
