This is my summer project and my third terrarium. I’ve added some plants since my last post. It still needs a plant and maybe some moss or vines on the right wall. Any suggestions?
I used expanding foam and black silicone with substrate stuck to it for the walls.
I used NEHerp’s V2 substrate on the bottom and their background mix on the walls.
I cut the rain tray out of plexiglass, put it together with silicone, and drilled 1/16 holes about 1” apart.
There is about 5” of water at the bottom ending just below the top of the drainage layer which is lava rocks.
The wires and tubes are in the cork round in the back right corner.
I used filter foam and floss before the pump, but some substrate is still getting through making the water brown.
I still need to adjust the pump because it fills up the rain tray and overflows after it is turned on.
The light is a Jungle Dawn 45 watt.
