I have some other seeds I could practice on first. Since I only got 10 I really don't want to mess it up! I've watched Mallacht's video on takeaway tek, but I've also seen u/IMDAVESBUD use little cups that look more manageable. Any tips are welcome! Thanks all!

Sanitize your soil. Use only distilled water and you want it damp, but not swampy
Honestly you’re not gonna get one answer. You just gotta jump in and learn and see what works for you. What works for me is I don’t even sterilize the soil and I’ve never had a mold out break or anything crazy. Also I’ve been using trays but next season I’m gonna use cups just so I feel better organized. It’s your journey so what are you confident with?
Read, read, read. Its really a pretty straight-forward process. Proper soil mix at field capacity, ambient humidity 90-100%, 20-30 C temperatures, let ’em ride until the 1 1/2 – 3 month mark (and 3 rows spines) upon which you can start giving them ferts., gradually reduce humidity over the course of a few months after that. Mist and watch for pests/fungal issues. Good luck! Its a blast of a journey 🙂
Takeout tek. Sift soil to get chunks out. Use distilled water. Hit it with 3% hyrdogen peroxide if you see any alge.
Biggest thing is to just leave it the fuck alone (litfa). Don’t pop the top constantly to let junk in.
Only needs water if there is no condensation on the lid.
I use distilled water at the start and then only hydrogen peroxide after thay for moisure. It breaks down into water and helps kill alge
If they get red, too much light. Sometimes i throw window screens over them for the first few weeks to cut down on light then remove. Make sure you don’t cook them
I’ve used tap water for all my seeds and never have had any issues, just make sure to boil it and let it cool before mixing it with your soil. I prefer using Jiffy Starter Mix for the soil, available at Home Depot and Walmart. Just damped your soil just to the point to where if you press it with a spoon very little liquid pools. I’ve used reusable containers from dollar tree to start the seeds in. I let them grow until either algae forms or the seedlings get so tall they hit the roof of the container. Try to avoid opening the containers and put them in a south facing window sill if possible. I have sprouted literally thousands of seeds this way.
Talk to them as they grow, as if they are babies
Be patient
I have several trays going currently but I am still very new to this myself. I found all the info I needed to get started on a YouTube channel called sanpedromastery and would highly recommend watching his videos on seed starting
Would it still sprout if it dried out most of the time?
