My Cherokee purple is finally ripening. I’m picking them a bit earlier than I’d like, but I do have rabbits and squirrels. One thing, they don’t look much like Cherokee purples when they ripen. They’re much redder, and not as green-shouldered. But they are delicious, and I suppose that’s the endgame 🙂
