Found this quirky flytrap while shopping today. Based on its appearance, I suspect it’s a ‘Chinese dumpling.’ As with any new plant, I do plan on repotting this little savage in a larger pot with some fresh media. Overall, not bad for $8.

Nice find! I suggest letting the poor thing rest and recuperate before repotting. Who knows what it’s been through? Tap water and poor light at the store almost certainly. Give it a good flush from the top with distilled water and see how it does for a week or so before shocking it with a repot.
