Since spring, we’ve had this Anvil “100 dollar hose” as my husband angrily said. It’s a great hose and never kinks. The only issue I’ve had with it is that sometimes the nozzle is hard to turn. I turn it a little bit, and water trickles out, but it’s stiff and difficult to turn it on all the way. Occasionally, I’ve used a wrench to turn it the rest of the way on. Yesterday, I used the hose (didn’t use a wrench) and didn’t notice any problems. So, last night my husband picked up the hose, turned it on, and it began leaking, and he couldn’t turn it off all the way. He was sure I had ruined it from using a wrench. I was annoyed and didn’t discuss it further, but I think the area with the thread wasn’t showing before.

If anyone is familiar with this hose and has suggestions, I appreciate your advice! If there's a better sub to post this in, please let me know. Thanks!

I went through tons of “no kink” hoses which all kink or leak at some point. My best option was to go to the Hose Store and they made me a bigger diameter hose with standard hose fittings. It hasn’t kinked in 4 years and it’s 100′ long. Probably the best option if you want a hose that lasts.

My neighbor has one of these. I was watering their garden while they were away and the thing started leaking. I completely unscrewed the nozzle and screwed it back down. Leak stopped.

Disclaimer: I was guessing and I did it one time. Your results will vary. Past performance is not indicative of future results, yadda yadda

If it’s just because the threads are damaged you can get a hose thread repair kit for $10 or less at a hardware or garden store.
