We all know that saving water at home will reduce your water bill and reduce your impact on the environment. But did you know there are some simple ways to conserve water that most people don’t know about? And what does milk have to do with it? This week, Johanna and Adam are sharing some clever ideas to help you save water everywhere in your home – from the kitchen to the laundry, the bathroom to the garden and more. And we guarantee you won’t have heard of some of these tips before!

COLIN – PEARL BARLEY RISOTTO WITH CHICKEN

Everyone loves a good risotto, but if you’re not careful, it can turn into a gluey mess. So this week, Colin’s replacing risotto rice with pearl barley. And not only is it a whole lot easier to cook, it adds a nice nutty flavour to your dish, too. Paired with chicken, chorizo, thyme and lots of cheese, who needs rice when you’ve got this?

DR HARRY – BEAVIS THE PIG

When Leila Doull’s big-hearted husband discovered an abandoned piglet on a construction site…he didn’t hesitate to help. Her work is a true testament to the power of using indigenous plants in garden spaces and she’s also passionate about bringing the calming nature of plants to urban environments. Charlie’s meeting up with Kath to tour one of her most beautifully designed gardens and to learn more about the principles behind her work.
