Alan Titchmarsh has his Grade II-listed farmhouse and the spectacular four-acre garden that comes with it on the market for £3.95million.
The beloved TV gardener, 76, and his wife Alison plan to downsize after living in their Hampshire home for over 20 years.
He said they are moving not only to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren, but also because the horticultural journalist felt he still has another garden in him.
Manor Farm House, in the market town of Alton, has been launched on the market by real estate agents Savills at a guide price of £3.95 million.
The couple bought the property in 2002 ‘not only because we wanted a Georgian house, but also because I felt that I had one more garden in me’, Titchmarsh told Country Life magazine.
The pair have since renovated the Grade II-listed home, which sits in the village of Holybourne, and created a spectacular four-acre landscaped garden.
The Savills listing states: ‘Beyond the formal gardens is a large area of wildflower meadows (approximately 2 acres) created by the owner to produce a stunning display from late spring to early autumn.
‘The kitchen garden has a greenhouse and an adjacent vegetable plot containing raised beds, another smaller greenhouse and a range of garden stores.

‘The house also benefits from a pretty fenced pond with a small jetty; and an additional area of field beyond the wildflower meadow providing far reaching views across Hampshire countryside.’
The TV personality said he is moving because he feels that he still has another garden in him and so he can be closer to his daughters Polly and Camilla, who are in their 40s.
According to Savills, the farmhouse promises buyers ‘beautiful Hampshire countryside views’.
The estate agents said the five-bedroom house, which dates back to the late 17th century, also offers an ‘excellent range of outbuildings including 42 ft party barn/theatre space’.

Titchmarsh carried out extensive work on the property and gardens after purchasing the Georgian farmhouse 23 years ago.
He said: ‘We found woodworm and death-watch beetle and took out 48 skips of rubbish, but we respected the integrity of the house and made no structural changes.
‘We then put it all back together again, replacing chipboard with floorboards, installing underfloor heating on the ground floor and in the bathrooms and decorating throughout, using bright pastel colours here and there to highlight the elegant Georgian proportions of the interior.’
Manor Farm House still has original features – including oak beams and sash windows – and is fitted with a range of ‘bespoke painted units, incorporating an Aga, butler’s sink, larder and utility cupboard’.
