It’s Alocasia Scalprum! Gorgeous specimen may I add. For care tips I’d say that if you never had an Alocasia prepare for pain because these guys are fussy little assholes and will drop leaves for seemingly no reason.

    – They don’t like too much direct sun, I have mine placed on a table around 30cm away from east facing window
    – They’re prone to root rot so make sure your soil mix is well draining and you’re not overwatering it. You may also experiment with planting it in semi-hydroponic. I personally plant mine in “Seramis” inert clay
    – They like humidity between 60% and 75% anything above may cause fungal issues
    – They do drop leaves when their conditions are inadequate (eg. too much water)
    – When growing a new leaf it may kill the oldest/smallest leaf in order to preserve as much energy as possible, whenever it does that make sure to remove this leaf only when it’s completely dry or starting to decompose. It should come off of the stem without any resistance

    Good luck!!
