Keep or get rid of fence?


Trying to increase curb appeal. Can’t decide if I should keep or get rid of the fence. Feel free to drop other suggestions 🔽

    You should remove the Bradford pear.

    Fence is your call. It does serve as a hardscape element. This one is easy to remove, so any prospecting buyer are not going to consider it a major factour in their purchasing decision. If they like it, they’ll keep it. If not, they’ll spend a day or two removing it.

    keep it imo. it adds to the curb appeal. i’d do flowers, hostas etc near the house or under the tree to spruce it up

    Keep the fence. It helps deter people and pets from cutting across your yard.

    Keep it. Do you have a power washer?
    That Bradford Pear has to go. Some localities have programs that replace them with natives.

    Keep it, do nothing to it to change it! If you need to contain a dog, use a wireless fence. I think it looks great, aged and mossed! Maybe make a mulch bed under and around it. Put in some shrubs and flowers. By the time the fence is totally rotted, the shrubs will be bigger and the fence can be removed, with maybe some of the rotted sections for decoration. It looks fairly sturdy still, probably another 10 yrs left. There’s plenty of options that’ll enhance it being there. A red cedar mulch bed would be a good start, edged with large rocks.

    I love it!! Power wash them logs! Even paint them…. But they’re family!

    Keep the fence. I’d get rid of those big black ghostly voids that haunt the edge of your property though.

    Keep the fence, lose the Bradford pear tree. Plant a nice native in its place. That thing is right around the age and size where it’s about to split apart in every direction

    Love the fence actually, it’s very cute and will deter anyone from walking through the yard, even tho kids can get between/under it will also be a good natural barrier if you have young kids (even just visitors) from running into the street after a ball (since that’s like a gut reaction for most kids and they don’t think of the danger of cars) plus if you wanted you could grow some cool plants up along that, even just doing pumpkins over it during growing season could be a really cool idea!

    Keep it you don’t see that kind of fencing around anymore. It’s either chain link or vinyl. Enjoy the rustic charm

    The majority of people here love it and say keep it. I’m on the other side of the fence and say get rid of it. It looks dated and doesn’t add any curb appeal. Your call

    Without the fence there will be people cutting through your yard.
    I had a fence like that. It eventually rotted and I took it out.
