(sorry for the dirt I’m still cleaning it)
(does have a sliding metal mesh lid)
Recently moved one of my baby leopard geckos into a bigger enclosure and now I’ve got this 10 gallon tank sitting in my room. Any ideas on a new friend I could put in here?
A low maintenance animal would be best. Docile spiders, bugs and creepy crawlies, and reptiles would be best, I love reptiles. Something I could handle would be amazing, I love to interact with my pets! One last things, I always have feeder insects and fruits/veggies available so anything with a diet like that would be super easy.

i have isopods in my 10 gallon tanks, they’re super fun to watch. if you swapped the mesh lid for something made of acrylic, that tank would be good for a larger terrestrial tarantula, like a curly hair, brazilian black, or mexican striped knee 🙂

I just put 3 vampire crabs in an extra 10 gallon I had.
blue death feigning beetles!
U could prolly get away with one singular Santa Isabel dart altho it would be on the smaller size u would have to really heavily stock the enclosure with plants and wood
My vote goes for tarantula, blue death feigning beetles/other beetles, isopods, or millipedes! Though I know most of these are less handlable animals, but they are pretty cool looking! If the lid keeps in enough humidity and has good airflow, I would SO totally recommend tarantula even more! I coincidentally came across this post sitting next to my sister’s, and honestly they’re just such neat pets.
