Ignore its bare stems, had a doe and her fauns come by the past couple days. But hey, at least I never have to cut it back myself.
I’ve never tried to grow tomatoes, and I guess I still haven’t, lol. I don’t know if it’s at all impressive to people who know what they’re doing, but I’m impressed by it at least.
I tossed some little tomatoes out in the yard around the start of summer because they were too mushy for me, and I guess something liked them and did me a favor by planting a couple in the flower bed.
Mostly just sharing, thought it was cool and I don’t know anyone that would care.

Better get your canning supplies ready! Great situation to be in, congrats!
I got volunteers this year too from my bush last year leaving little tomatoes behind 🙂 I’m glad I got it cuz I only planted large varieties this year and my volunteer is cherry so now I have both options

I think yours is impressive, it’s thriving, do you know what variety? We plant sweet millions and sun sugars every year. Last year we also had a black cherry tomato and I’m hoping the volunteer we have this year is a black cherry. It’s not as lush as yours, though.
its fun to see what phenotype the “yard tomatoes” (volunteer crosses of last year’s vines) get each year. Throw down different kinds of tomatoes to add to the gene pool and let the vines fruit and check out their traits! it can be fun to see year to year. sometimes they lose flavor and need outcrossing
I dunno those bare stems look more like hornworms going to town
