Gardeners’ World expert Adam Frost has opened up about the first time he watched himself on TV
Adam Frost admitted he was moved to tears whilst watching his very first Gardeners’ World episode.
The gardening guru made this revelation during a live chat at Kew Gardens over the weekend.
The show posted the moment on its official Instagram account, sharing clips of Adam speaking with fans.
The footage was captioned: “@adamfrostdesign talking about his first time seeing himself on TV @gardenersworldtv. The Second session begins at 5 p.m. today!”
When asked whether he’d ever watched himself on the telly, Adam admitted: “I watched it once. I watched the first one I ever did,” reports the Express.
“And the family said, ‘Come on, we have got to sit down and watch it, and actually, we sat and watched it, and my youngest [son], who obviously, he’s 16 and it was probably about 10 years ago, so he was about 10.
“And he sat next to me, and just towards the end of it, as the credits were going up, I had a text message, and so, I am crying at this text message.”

As the crowd made an “awwww” noise, the TV star added: “Alright, so I am crying. Oaks put his hands on my knee and said, ‘Dad, don’t worry; it wasn’t that bad.'”.
The audience burst into laughter as Adam said, “It was absolutely brilliant.”
Geoff Hamilton was a beloved presence on Gardeners’ World and the show’s longest-serving host. However, in 1995, the beloved presenter suffered a heart attack and took three months to recover.
