I just received this Dendrobium elliottianum after 2 days of shipping from "New World Orchids". The listing describes it as "nice, blooming size plant". But you can see for yourself, haha.
Unfortunately they are the only seller of Den. elliottianum in the US that I could find, so for now I'm doing everything in my power to keep it alive.
No response from the seller yet, but I'm hoping they will try to correct this. They did include another seedling size Dendrobium as a freebie, but not what I paid for. So I guess its not a total loss, but really disappointing. :/
Edit: I forgot to include a banana for scale, its a little over 1cm tall.

That sucks. For what it’s worth- I’ve bought from New World Orchids recently and was really happy with my purchases. I got an Aoshinju neofinetia and a schoenorchis scolopendria. The latter got left in the mailbox for 24 hours because it arrived sooner than the expected date. About a quarter of it died off rightfully so- but it bounced back with vigor and has some roots poking out almost as long as the plant itself now after a couple weeks. Hopefully your dendrobium will respond the same as my schoenorchis. At any rate- the seller, Kristen, is usually great with customer service. She has been going through some stuff and recently got back into town from what I understand.
“Ultra-mini” – no kidding! 🤣 Best of luck, may he grow big (for a mini) and strong.
I got one more thing and I’m leaving this thread alone 😂

Maybe give the little dude a second. It isn’t supposed to be much bigger than that ❤️
I think Andy sells this for $35.
