What are the trees planted outside of the Chik-Fil-A at MLK/San Antonio?
These are ripe and an unripe fruits from the trees. Google Lens says they’re golden berries, but the inside of the unripe one looks more like a stone fruit.

They look like Mexican plums. These are not ripe just yet. They turn dark purple when they’re ripe. The fuzzy white that you see on the outside of the fruit is a natural forming yeast, like what you see on grapes and other plums. It’s very easy make plum wine with Mexican plums.

Mexican plum indeed! They’re fruiting all over right now.
