The Abyssal Mutation was added to Grow a Garden on September 6, 2025, as part of the Fairy Event update expansion. It’s a mutation that requires combining two different ones to make it, so here’s everything you need to know about it. Such as how to get it and what it does!
How to Get the Abyssal Mutation in Grow a Garden
Before you can get the Abyssal Mutation, you’ll need to know how to get the Eclipsed and Voidtouched Mutations. This is because you have to combine these two on a crop in your garden to make the Abyssal mutation. Here’s everything you need to know about getting them:
The Eclipsed Mutation is exclusive to the Solar Eclipse natural event. You’ll know it’s happening when the island suddenly becomes dark as the moon passes in front of the sun. The Voidtouched Mutation is exclusive to the Black Hole admin event. Which makes this one a little tougher to get for this combination. The best chance you’ll have is playing in the hour before a Grow a Garden Saturday update. The developers tend to trigger a lot of admin events during this window. While it doesn’t matter what order you get each mutation on your plant, once they’re both on it, they’ll combine to make Abyssal. Another one that requires a combination is the Clay Mutation. What Does the Abyssal Mutation Do?
Like all mutations, Abyssal adds a value multiplier to your crops. In this case, Abyssal increases your profits by 240x the standard amount for each mutated crop. This makes it one of the best ones you can get in Grow a Garden.
