Owners of Euphorbia bupleurifolia, what are some tips you’d give for growing this species?

I do well with the ‘Cocklebur’ hybrid by Hummel (E. bupleurifolia x E. susannae) but when I tried growing the parent, E. bupleurifolia- it was losing all it’s leaves when I grew it indoors.

Previously it was greenhouse grown and once purchased it lost 2/3 of the leaves it had, but stabilized when I brought it outside to my balcony. Do we think the leaf loss was just due to the sudden change in conditions?

I live in Canada so leaving it outside this winter is not an option. My options are:

Option 1

Bring it inside, put it inside my IKEA Milsbo greenhouse conversion – Barinna T5 grow lights, 2 USB fans, humidity hovers between 70-85% usually – all Hoya and Dischidia species in there. 12/12 Light cycle.

Option 2

Bring it inside, put it in ambient humidity under a Barinna T5 light that I have installed on a normal shelf. Also a 12/12 light cycle.

Option 3

Put it on the windowsill – east facing window. My Dioscorea elephentipes, Zamioculcas zamifolia and a Stephania erecta all live here year round with no complaints – but when I put it here right after I bought it, that’s when it lost a ton of leaves. (Shock??)

Any other tips are appreciated but I’m mainly just wondering where it will be happiest .. nights are currently down to 8° C (46.4°F) so I would imagine I need to bring it in very soon, if not now..
