My sister was struggling with this FLF and was going to throw it out so I decided to do my good deed for the day & save it. I’ve never owned one before and have a VERY new green thumb (mainly for outdoor flowers).
I noticed this one leaf has a large dark spot close to where it connects to the stem. Do I cut it off? Also my sister has obviously cut a couple of the other branches where I can see a small outline of dark where she cut..
I just don’t know how to move forward with it & really want save her! I bought a 3-1-2 fertilizer is now a good time?
Thank you all in advance!

Put it next to a window. They’re tropical and love light.
water fully (so all roots are wet and water is coming out the bottom) once every 1-2 weeks.
Fertilize as recommended on the package.
First of all, these leaves were infected by bacteria/germ..etc.,..they won’t recover..you may remove them all..
This tropical plant needs sunlight so much..it’s better to place it by brighter window/spot..
…..”more sunlight less infection”!!!
..Does this white decorative have drainage holes?lf not,..you need to take the pot out for watering and then put it back(because don’t let the pot sitting on excess water)…
..so l suggest putting a saucer beneath the pot instead of this white decorative pot..you’ll pour away excess water after watering easily
..and also suggest watering it thoroughly each time(water it once every 7-10days)..and don’t keep excess water in saucer after watering
In the future,if you want more branches, a thicker trunk and keep its height(your ideal height)..you just “always” pluck terminal buds(or new growths) off..more buds(become branches) will grow along the trunk..trunk will grow thicker and thicker….
