My landlord sent some maintenance guys round to fix our fence and decided to get them to clear the garden of weeds. Sadly my rhubarb plant was caught in the cross fire (they were asked to leave the veg patch alone but hey Ho) and it's been cut down to the ground. Internet seems a bit mixed on whether it will grow back or not so thought I'd ask the oracles of gardening Reddit.
Got a bit attached to the thing as I've been taking it around in a pot for the past 5 years and finally found somewhere to settle where I could put it in the ground to thrive and my guy gets massacred 😭
Also caught in the cross fire – my pumpkin bones got trampled on and one of the pumpkins got severed. It's pretty much orange with a couple of green stripes on – will it still continue to mature? Or should I just write this off as a jack o lantern.

It should do, it’s quite tough. How established is it?
I’d give it a blood, fish and bone feed, and apply some lovely bulky, well-rotted manure and all should be well next year.
itll survive
aww no worries love — He will recover
It should be bomb proof as long as the crown isn’t covered. Give it a feed as suggested and you should see leaves pretty quickly.
Yes it will
