The first pic shows the new growth with splotchy yellow patches. The second pic is the older growth which is yellowing and has a rotten hole in it. I live in Sacramento where it is 100° the last month. I don’t think I overwater it, and I believe I give it regular water every week to 10 days about a gallon. It is against a dark green house that south facing, which can get quite warm in the afternoon.

    That’s a cactus, the chlorotic color is probably a nutrient deficiency, generally magnesium to help with chlorophyll production.

  2. I don’t have helpful advice, i just think it’s amusing that 99% of the time it’s a euphorbia in the cactus sub, not the other way around XD
