    I don’t know enough to tell you the variety, but that is a rose. Those berry looking things are rose hips.

    Rose hips are very high in antioxidants and vitamin C, they make a great tea! A little sweet and sour tasting like hibiscus. They are the fruit of the rose

  4. These are rosehips, fruits of the Rose bush. Both pretty and delicious.

    Remove the seeds and leafy bits, boil until soft, puree with an immersion blender, sweeten to taste and add a little cornstarch to thicken, and you have Swedish culinary delight nyponsoppa.

    Rosehips you can actually make tea out of them.

    If you want to use your rose hips it’s best to wait until after a good frost to pick them 😉
