This is my first air plant, it was gifted to me two or three weeks ago. I went on vacation then caught covid so it hasn’t gotten any water since I got it. It’s really light and a little crisp but not super crisp… I have it in a shallow dish of water right now to see if it’ll rehydrate at all. Is there any chance?

Full disclosure though, this was glued onto its decorative pot, I pulled the glue off delicately but I’m not sure if it’s painted too. The color doesn’t look super natural but I don’t know anything about airplants… She might’ve been doomed from jump.

It’s not dead, it does look thirsty. That one pale leaf is struggling. It looks stressed overall, but not that bad. Keep it out of direct sunlight and mist it after it has dried COMPLETELY from its bath, every 2-3 days for a while. It looks just a little rough but ok!

Wet the leaves and see what colour they are

Don’t keep in water , it’s an air plant , just soak for a good drink . Otherwise it will go the other way and go soggy 🫣good luck I hope she comes back , such a lovely plant.

Thank you all for the help!! I dried it off and let it on a hutch near a window for some indirect light. Crossing my fingers!!

Looks gone unless there is green left. They need a 3 second dunk in a cup of water once or twice a week.
