I have this cactus, the brown part has been there for about 4 years, is there anything to do about it? I want it to become bigger and more healthy, what can i do? 🙂
So cactus care is pretty universal. Get it down to bare root out of that compost/peat/coir based soil. Build a soil with 50% cactus mix and 50% inorganic like volcanic rocks or perlite/pumice at the least. These are Ferocactus and like a shallow wide pot. Water it deeply but only when the soil is 100% dry. As much sun as possible and make sure there’s good airflow. As it grows it’ll hide the brown part.
