I was given a dying Monstera whose roots have all rotten away. Pictured is what is left after removing the rot. Is there any hope of reviving the poor thing? What should I do? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Since the node are intact, best would be to chop off the leaves since its burnt here and there and the browning never heals 🙁 PS: Use leca balls to quickly grow the root parts. And in no time, you’ll have your baby thriving.

    Lots of hope actually

First, cut all the plant into sections with a node (where leaves can grow) and the remaining roots. This is because your root system cannot handle the size of the leaves so cutting it into parts is recommended.

Second, you need to choose which method of propagation you wanna use for your cutting. I suggest water propagation because its the easiest and cheapest way to propagate (might be not the fastest tho).

Third, wait for the roots to have secondary roots and you can either keep it in water (with liquid fertiliser) or transplant it into soil.

And now you will have multiple healthy baby plants. (It would revert to juvenile form without fenestrations because of the shock but its okay and normal).
