Hello, new here! Just wanted to get some help with when and how to repot my girl here. I don’t know if doing this right now is good or the worst thing I could do for her. I’m what you call a plant killer but have successfully neglected this one enough to have kept her alive for two years now. She’s still in the original pot. The water you see in the tray will be soaked in by this afternoon as she was 100% dry prior to watering. Thank you for your advice 🙂

I am in no way an expert but here are some tips ive found from online sources:
    – make sure the soil is dry before repotting.
    – don’t water for i think about three days after repotting to allow the roots to heal/callous and avoid root rot.
    – im really bad at following this one but try to repot in summer/spring months.

I don’t know what this plant is, but I LOVE IT. It is so so interesting looking!! (Also, I have nothing helpful to add – as much as I try not to, I kill everything)

If she is still in nursery soil or “big box” store soil, yes, repot in something grittier. I just add perlite to succulent soil, about 50/50. Take all the dried leaves off, let your soil dry out and then repot. Get any non-gritty soil off the root bundle…I poke with a wood skewer and then just break it apart. Wait at least a week before watering again.
