Looks like fungal sclerotia. Pretty common in full organic substrates kept a little on the wet side (its hard to regulate evenly watering in greenhouses), exploding in cool moist conditions (I.e. winters at home on windowsills). Not a danger, but will colonize and bind your soil tightly, lowering water permeability. I generalyy encourage manual removal when small and correcting watering issues, but your plant looks ready for a repot into a better media (higher drainage, generally) for home, anyways.

You can add neem meal to your soil to kill any fungus. Does not take very much – but be warned, strong smell many people do not like.
