Minecraft 1.21’s biggest addition is the Trial Chamber, a special underground structure that offers an exciting challenge for all players. In this guide, I’ll provide you with a list of the top 20 best and most interesting Minecraft 1.21 seeds!

Minecraft 1.21: Top 20 Best Seeds for September 2025 20 – Jagged Peaks Mountain A large Stony Peaks mountain with a Plains crater in MinecraftScreenshot by Gameskinny Seed: 5428247502997800210 Spawn: 0, 0 Biomes: Cherry Grove, Grove, Jagged Peaks, Plains, Snowy Slopes

Mountains are one of the safest places for Minecraft players to live. Their high peaks encircle their inner craters like natural stony walls, keeping out both enemy players and hostile mobs. In Bedrock Edition, players will find a small Plains Village and a ruined Nether portal hidden behind this mountain. Java players will have two Plains Villages located along the northeastern and southwestern sides of the mountain instead.

Coral Reefs only spawn in Warm Ocean biomes, making them a great biome to discover Warm Ocean Ruins in. This Coral Reef is home to several clusters of Warm Ocean Ruins as well as a handful of shipwrecks. With so many ruins available, you’re practically guaranteed to find a pair of Sniffer Eggs! Lucky players will find a few blocks of moss in one of the reef’s shipwrecks. Place them on the ground, then place the Sniffer Eggs on top of them to help them hatch faster.

This large Old Growth Taiga is home to three separate Trail Ruins structures. The combination of the three ruins should let you get all of the archaeological items that can only be found by brushing the suspicious gravel in Trail Ruins. Since they are in relatively close proximity, I recommend building your base in the center of the Taiga and branching out to excavate each one.

Mangrove Swamps and Deserts are one of the best biome combinations in Minecraft. The Desert provides access to a variety of structures with helpful treasures, typically Desert Temples and Desert Villages. Meanwhile, the Mangrove Swamp contains important natural resources that don’t typically exist in large Deserts. It’s a perfect set of biomes that gives you everything you need to survive well in Minecraft. As a bonus, the area beneath these two biomes is home to four Trial Chambers, so you’ll have easy access to all of the exclusive loot found within them.

If Ancient Cities are your preferred structure, this Badlands seed will be the Minecraft world of your dreams. There is not one, not two, but eleven Ancient Cities to find scattered within the giant Deep Dark biome beneath this arid biome. Several of these cities intersect with a Dripstone Cave biome, while the rest stick solely to the Deep Dark.

It’s not every day that you’ll spawn on a coastline just a short swim away from a Mushroom Island. The coast is home to a Bamboo Jungle, so I recommend bringing Jungle saplings and bamboo with you to create a consistent supply of wood. There are plenty of Small Warm Ocean Ruins and shipwrecks around the island that can be looted for resources. Just make sure to bring a brush with you for a chance at getting Sniffer Eggs.

A Desert Temple has mysteriously sunk into the sands of this vast Desert. If it weren’t for its unique staircase-like roof and a nearby puddle of water, you wouldn’t know it was beneath your feet. Luckily, the hole in its roof is intact, so you can still drop directly into it. You’ll find a ruined Nether portal and a Pillager Outpost to the east of this Temple. There is also a Desert Village a short walk to the southwest.

In addition to being beautiful, this Cherry Grove has numerous untapped resources that make it a great place for survival players to live. Firstly, it has a Plains Village and a ruined Nether portal next to it on the surface. The ruined portal’s chest has enough obsidian to repair its frame and a flint-and-steel to light it. Secondly, the area beneath the grove is home to both an Ancient City and a Trial Chamber. These structures will give you access to a lot of unique items like the Silence armor trim.

A lush Jungle collides with a lively Desert in this 1.21 seed. The Jungle is home to a few newer structures, including a set of Trail Ruins and a Trial Chamber. In contrast, the Desert has structures that have been around for a long time, like a village and a Desert Temple. Players wanting to do a bit more archaeology will find a variety of Warm Ocean Ruins scattered around.

Desert Temples next to hills look more like staircases than the structures they actually are. In this world, Bedrock players will spawn near a Desert Village on top of a hill. Next to the village is a Desert Temple that has merged with the ridge beneath the town. The Temple forms a small staircase leading up to the eastern half of the village. If you aren’t careful, you’ll wind up falling through the top of the temple while walking through the town.

10 – Lush Pale Garden with Woodland Mansion A Minecraft Pale Garden biome with a Woodland Mansion and a ruined Nether portalScreenshot by Gameskinny

Woodland Mansions in Pale Garden biomes provide a unique challenge only found in Minecraft 1.21. With the recent addition of the Pale Garden’s Creaking mob, entering and exploring a mansion within this biome becomes a difficult task. You’ll need to navigate through the gloomy garden while avoiding or destroying any Creakings that spawn to make it to the mansion’s door. Once inside, you’ll then have to fight your way through hordes of enemies to claim the structure’s many treasures.

A large Forest fills the area around Spawn in this world. If you walk south and leave the Forest biome behind, you’ll be blessed with a vibrant Cherry Grove biome! It is fairly large and home to two villages and a ruined Nether portal in both versions of Minecraft. However, Java players will have a slight advantage because their second village contains a Blacksmith.

An icy Frozen River divides this world into a Snowy Plains biome and a Snowy Taiga. Cross the river to find a Taiga Village containing plenty of crops, plus a weaponsmith’s chest with iron armor and an iron pickaxe. Take these materials to the cave at the edge of the village to find your first Ancient City. Use the items and ores found here to craft even stronger gear, then venture deeper into the Grove to explore two more cities.

Wind blows harshly across this Desert, sweeping up a Savanna and a Mangrove Swamp and turning them into a large Windswept biome! The lower half of this biome is covered in water and mud, while the upper half is home to Savanna trees and grass. Players will also find a Coral Reef in the area behind their spawn. Explore the surrounding areas to find either a Desert Temple in Bedrock edition or a Desert Village in Java edition.

The two Snowy Taigas around Spawn are each home to their own set of Trail Ruins. You’ll find a set of snow-covered ruins in the smaller Taiga, while the larger one will contain Trail Ruins on the edge of a Frozen River. Excavate them carefully to avoid flooding them with the water hidden beneath the river’s icy exterior. If you excavate both structures, you’re guaranteed to gather some useful treasures from the past.

A set of Pillagers has found their home in the Meadow Mountain next to this Pale Garden. Traveling past them to the set of mountains beyond that Pale Garden will lead you to two Ancient Cities, the second of which has a golden apple in a chest by the city’s central portal. If you don’t feel like fighting your way through life, you could settle down in the Pale Garden biome next to Spawn.

4 – Badland’s Trial Chambers The interior of a Trial Chamber structure in MinecraftScreenshot by Gameskinny

Every 1.21 Minecraft player needs a good Trial Chambers seed. This one takes place in a Wooded Badlands biome that neighbors a regular Badlands biome filled with Ancient Cities. Take on the Trial Chamber first to test your prowess and gather materials like enchanted books, then use those to craft stronger gear to take on the Ancient Cities and their Wardens.

Animal lovers will adore this Minecraft seed with a set of exposed Warm Ocean Ruins at Spawn. The Stony Shores around the ruins contain both iron and copper, allowing you to make a brush as soon as you find the ruins. I was able to get a Sniffer Egg from the very first ruin I excavated. Hopefully, your luck will be the same!
