guys it’s Dave and today I’m going to teach you how to get some seed starting soil for your seeds now normally you guys would see this compost back here and you’ll might automatically think there’s no way I can grow seedlings because of the wood chips well today I have a solution for you picked up this little trash bin and all you need to do is grab a shovel of your compost get yourself a bucket and just kind of sift through this you’ll notice that most of the particles are going to be left off at the top I wouldn’t really be worried if I have some small wood chips it actually might help with the drainage so go ahead and fill up a few of these cups and just like that we have our own DIY soil medium let me know if you found this video helpful this is the easiest way to get started on your seedlings catch you in the next video bye everyone

Don’t forget to add drainage holes if you plan to use solo cups. Happy Gardening!
If you start put compost from bottom of pile to top, bigger and weighter parts will always be bottom and small and lighter stay at top
