Hi all, novice question here
I am thinking about chopping this P. Saundersii roughly along the red line. Why? I like experimenting, I like weird shaped plants, this is a way to do that…
Is this a terrible idea that will kill both halves? I’ve seen people chop Lamerai indiscriminately but can Saundersii handle it?

No doubt you can. It should cause branching, which many people find attractive.
Just looking at how it’s been grown so far, I think it needs brighter light and/or less fert and more gritty soil. If you cut it now and keep growing it as is you’ll probably end up with a couple of leggy leaders instead of one. I think it’ll survive just fine if you do the cut and let it dry off.
Yep go for it
Chop it!!
