Sixteen gardening projects in and around Sudbury have received support through a £10,000 community planting scheme from Perrywood Garden Centre, launched to mark its 70th anniversary.
The scheme benefits 38 schools, charities and community groups.
Acton Playgroup received plants, compost, pots and gloves to help preschoolers grow their own seeds and explore nature.

“Pretty much everything you see growing in our playgroup garden has come from Perrywood.”
Thomas Gainsborough School also received support for its allotment scheme, which helps students grow fruit and vegetables.
