Hi, I’m Kalem, and this channel features all sorts of unusual and exotic fruiting plants with tips of how to successfully grow them. I’m interested in all things gardening and love growing my own food and all types of edible plants.
I live on a 2 acre piece of land in New Zealand where we are turning a grass paddock into and abundant, edible paradise and food forest! Knowing me through YouTube, you might expect me to say the garden is where I’m happiest. But for me, it’s actually when I’m in the water. The moment I jump in, the world above fades away, replaced with muffled sounds of rushing water and a sudden change in temperature that jolts every sense awake. Then, of course, that incredible feeling of weightlessness. It’s freeing, it’s calming, it’s where I feel the most alive. The jungle village we’re just arriving at sits beside a river that’s as magical as it gets. It’s crystal clear, surrounded by wildlife, and even has places where hot water flows straight out of the rock walls. Exploring the hidden corners of this river is only part of the adventure, though. I’m also keen to discover the unusual plants and fruits that grow around this village. So, let’s dive in and see what we can find.

    Hey man, about 4 years ago I started growing dragonfruit from that one video you made testing if they grow true to seed. My girlfriend honestly was the one to push me to do it, but I wouldn't have done any of it if it weren't for that video. Growing these plants has brought infinite joy to my life. Thank you for existing and making the content you do. Please don't ever change.
