Is it too late to lower height of the grow light? She grew one super tall stem with the leaves spread out near the base and more clustered at the top. Do I need to lower the light or should I keep it there since it’s too late bc of her super tall stem?
I water her on a 1.5 month schedule, but I usually treat it as a check-in to see how dry her soil is and water when it’s dry dry (sometimes I wait extra after it’s dry so she doesn’t get overwatered).
I leave the window closed and use a light instead because my room reaches temperatures of 85-95°F with the window open, and sometimes the plants get burned when I can’t be home to change the angle of the blinds.

Stronger light or more lights, move that light to a single plant that’s about all it will be good for
I would lower the light
Grow lights should be as close as possible to the desired plant, while not overheating them. Generally speaking, you need the light to be within six inches of the desired affected plants. More lights are needed 🙂
Okay! Thanks everyone! I’ll lower this light and get more lights 🥰🥰
I would open the window lol
Can’t open the window shade ?
You need like 7 of them for that much plant. For perspective I have these, one per calathea, (a “shade” plant) and they’re almost touching the leaves. These look bright to human eyes. But they’re not.
I’d lower it right in to the bin and open the window instead.
Those little rings are utterly useless. Throwing electricity down the drain.
Etiolation is theoretically reversible
That light isnt going to do anything for your plants. It is both too far away and also doesnt have a good enough power output. I wpuld recommend this [tripod grow light](https://www.sansiled.com/products/sansi-30w-3-head-adjustable-tripod-stand-grow-light-with-remote-control) but i also like to use this [grow bulb](https://www.sansiled.com/products/br30-36w-led-grow-light-bulb). I use both of these lights and have found really good success with them. My grow bulb works perfect for my cacti and the tripod works well with my huge alocasias.
Get a 1ft barrina T5 light and a custom stand tailored to allow it to stand upwards from Etsy.
I wouldn’t just lower the light…
I’d buy about 50 more
Use the lux app on your phone , most indoor plants need 1000 lux to live and 3000-4000 lux to thrive . Make life easy .
Not sure about the light but I love that you have the Lego lucky bamboo here with these hehe
Those Amazon ring grow lights basically don’t do anything. You’re better off just opening the blinds. And in the case you’re considering getting a better one yes you should adjust the distance according to intensity
You’d have to put those things like an inch away, for 12 hours a day.
