I have this old concrete pad in my yard that used to be the foundation for a shed. Is it too weathered and cracked to use for a new shed/structure? Hot tub pad? Put a pergola or something similar over it?

Or would it be wiser to just demo it before I start getting this battered lawn ready for overseeding?

It’s beat to fuck. If you have the resources to demo it then just demo it.

Sacrificial alter, the crack would nicely channel the blood. Hypothetically

  3. Looks perfect for some old fashioned recess style four square. Or a basketball court for ants.

It doesn’t look like you have much shade, I’d do a gazebo or some covering. I’ve seen some nice sun beds that have built in canopies. You could throw down an outdoor rug and have a nice little chill pad for pretty days.

I would put either a pre-made plastic shed or a build shed on skids/piers on top.of the slab. Its fine for that purpose. I would not build a shed by attaching a sill plate on that though.

Leave as is. Put a pergola over it and makes some cabinets and tables and make that your outdoor kitchen.

Nice flat surface for a pool. You just need it big enough for a floating lounge chair! Or a hot tub.

Crack it open, dig up the body, build a pergola.

Put a playhouse on it. Your kids would love it or a mini basketball court

Pergola, seating, firepit. Maybe some counter space for meat prep, get some electrical going to have a fridge for keeping the beer cold 👍

    Build a thunderdome…. albeit small.

Maybe you could tile it and put a border around it, at a fire pit and some outdoor furniture if you want to use it as a little sitting area

Edit: meh. The crack would be a problem

I still maintain that jackhammering is a blast. Rent one, call the boys. Go to fuckin town with heavy tools.

Then sober up and try to find somewhere to dispose of it. That’s the actual hard part.

Power wash it, use concrete stain to pretty it up. Chairs and a fire pit, or a rug, chairs and a coffee table

That’s where I’d put the tiger cage.

That would make for a lovely green house!

Will the cracks seal and paint it, put a pergola over it with a small fire pit and some nice garden furniture.

Make sure the original shed didn’t get torn down because of a set-back violation before you put a shed or pergola of your own on that pad.
