I’m working on a SoCal ocean beach ecojar and I was wondering what jar I should use, both are around 11-12 inches tall and around 5 inches wide by Idkbro115 Closed EcosystemsEcospheresminiatureself sustainingself-contained 1 Comment Ok_Extension3182 2 weeks ago I’d argue neither. You would want a wider jar to help accommodate live rocks, corals, and a bubbler or airstone. Ocean ecospheres require aeration that a normal ecosphere does not have, so it’s best to get a small bubbler or airstone. A wider jar is recommended.
