Can I cut this septic vent short enough to cover it with a fake vented rock?

I’d dig it below ground and cap it

No clue but that’s wild they put that right in the front of your driveway like a candy cane. Wtfff

Ask yourself: If that septic tank vent gets blocked then the poop gas will not escape from that vent. Where do you think the poop gas (and liquified poop) will escape to? One hint: it may escape from your toilets and into your house!

Honestly think you need a bush, or something that can grow around it to make it disappear. That’s rough, but a plant of some sort could hide it and not hinder its airflow.

Could you build a viewfinder in this corner that also hides the vent?

That’s vent is comically tall, but check first with the city or county code how tall it should be before you do anything.

No you shouldn’t. You need to consult with a septic expert and/or town rules, not a landscaping Internet community.

I’ve had three homes with septic and never heard of a septic vent. Why do I not have one?

Cut it a foot shorter. And then build a mailbox around it. Covering 3/4 sides

I would leave it and make it look like an upside down umbrella (either fully open or halfway closed) and use it as a flower pot. Paint the pipe and boom you have lawn art.

The glare off the mailbox is stunning

Why cut it? Get a bigger fake rock. 😀

Old contractor saying “if you can’t fix it feature it” be creative

I don’t see why not but I’m not a septic expert
