hello my garden friends in today’s video I’m going to take you with me to one of my favorite garden centers it’s called Green Acres spoil alert I came home with the most beautiful lilac Vine Green Acres is like Disneyland for gardeners then I’m going to take you back home and show you where I put everything and I’m here I’m so excited my heart is beating so fast this Nursery is like Disneyland for gardeners oh my goodness I am definitely going to get in trouble here look at this place now I didn’t come here for tomatoes but they do have my absolute favorite cherry tomato which is called Sun gold so I’m definitely going to get one of these or maybe two of these I’ve tried the sun sugar tomato last year but honestly I still like the sun gold better it’s just sweeter here is one of those lilac Vines these do so good in my area I really have no idea where I’m going to put it I told you I was going to get in trouble here look what I just found all these cute little butterflies to put in the garden oh yes this is definitely screaming take me take take me I currently have a fox tail Fern in my garden and I absolutely love it so I know if I get another one I know it will grow well in the spot I’m going to put it oh wow I did not know they make these little berries how fun is that [Music] I also just saw these poppies aneno me that’s very hard to pronounce these would look really cute too so I’ll just get a couple of these and then I’ll decide where I’m going to put them when I get home in my opinion a girl can never have too many flowers I told you I was going to get in trouble here I’m home now and I’m super excited with today’s Garden haul oh my goodness I’m going to plant everything in my garden and show you where it’s all going to go but before I do let me just quickly show you what I got I did get the two sungold cherry tomatoes I got a couple of anenomes try saying that 10 times I think they’re absolutely beautiful I’m guessing there’s three in each one because there’s red white and blue I got another fox tail Fern I already have one in my garden and it does so good and dappled shade and I got a couple violas these are going to going to do so good in my garden do you ever go to the nursery without having anything in mind then you see a bunch of plants and you tell yourself I have no idea where I’m going to put them I’m just going to buy them and then when I get home I’ll figure out where they’re going to go well that’s me right now and I got a hore I’ve never grown a hore before so I knew I just wanted to get one and then I’ll figure out where it’s going to go and look it I have a lilac Vine I’ve grown one of these a couple years ago and I absolutely loved it so I know what it does I know how big it gets and I’m super excited okay so without further Ado let me get all these goodies in the ground first things first I think this butterfly will looks so pretty right here and the reason why I chose this area is because the sun won’t be shining on it the sun will be behind it so it’ll take a long time before it gets faded I kind of wish now I would have gotten two of them I think I’m going to put the violas right over here because these little purple violas are doing so good I know the orange Ones Will Thrive here too in a perfect world I would have done blue orange blue orange but I already had these here first so I’m just going to put these right behind them [Music] I’ll give them a little bit of fertilizer and a nice drink of water and I’m not trying to sell you anything but this is an honest to goodness tip from me I love all the organic ferti izer from espoma this Rose tone works for roses flowers all all of my annuals I love it I’m not sponsored by them but this is the best fertilizer I’ve ever used again I’m not sponsored I just love this so much so I like to pass on the goodness to you I decided to plant my cherry tomatoes over here in my narrow space vegetable garden this area is only 3′ 4 in wide because my backyard Garden is so small I decided to utilize this space and grow upward instead of out I call it vertical gardening because there’s always room up but not always out and like I said if you’ve never tried Sun gold cherry tomatoes I highly recommend them honestly it’s like eating candy so I decided to plant my enmies in these cute little pots that I bought at the Habitat for Humanity I recently made made a video about that it’s kind of like a thrift store for Home and Garden Improvement supplies and the reason why I decided to put them in these pots instead of in the ground because just like tulips and daffodils when they’re done blooming and there’s really nothing to see I hate taking up space in my garden because it’s so small for something that isn’t looking pretty so after these are done blooming and then they go through their stage where they’re doing really nothing too much I’ll just move this pot into another location in my garden and replace this space with something that’s looking pretty so this is the future home of my lilac find right here and I chose this location for many reasons the first one is lilac Vines bloom in February usually in the late winter early spring when there’s nothing else going on in your garden so I figured if it right here I’ll be able to enjoy it from my kitchen window it’ll just give me like a little encouragement and something pretty to see when there’s nothing else blooming that time of year now the second reason why I chose this area is because I originally had a Bugan vilia which has to come down I know I feel so bad for removing it this area used to get full sun so the buan vilia flourished here it did did so good but then I built this patio with a big roof and it blocks the sun now from this buganvilia so for the past couple years this just is not doing well at all it’s just taking up space but the good news is lilac Vines don’t want that intense heat and Sun that the buganvilia likes so this is going to be a good place for the Lilac Vine because like I said it wants a little bit of shade from that hot afternoon so this is where it’s going to go it only makes sense [Music] well as you can see I broke my shovel not a big deal I’ll just find another shovel and finish the job like I said this has been here for many years and this is massive [Music] holy moly I did it I am so happy the thing about Bugan Vilas if you want to remove one but you don’t get the whole stump they’ll continue to grow up from underneath the ground so I’m really happy I was able to get that out I am going to put some store bought organic compost in the hole just just to enrich the soil and give it a nice good start don’t you just love getting your hands dirty since the Lilac Vine is blooming right now it’s a good time to fertilize cuz it takes a lot for plants to make those flowers oh you’re such a beauty what should I name you you ever name your plants this plant needs to be called something with an L Lizzy the Lilac Vine maybe I’ll call it Lizzy you know why because I have another buganvilia over there it’s my favorite one is purple it’s called Elizabeth so yeah I’m going to name this one Lizzy Lizzy the Lilac fine we have Elizabeth and Lizzy why not so what if I name a plant after myself so what people name their kids after themselves right and this is where I put my hore because helbor their flowers kind of face down they call it noding I wanted to elevate it just a little bit so I could see the flowers a little bit better also helbor don’t like to be in the Sun and I figured inside my patio it would get a lot of shade and it will be very happy here [Music] I hope you enjoyed today’s video and I hope you have a beautiful day in your garden too bye

Good morning, Garden friends! I was lucky when my girlfriend invited me to take a road trip to Greenacres nursery. Itβs about an hour away from my house so when she offered to drive me, I was thrilled. I hate driving. But itβs such a fun garden center like Disneyland for gardeners. Anyway, I hope you enjoy todayβs video. I know we all live in different garden zones and some of us might still be buried in snow. Has YOUR garden season started yet? π₯°π Liz
Liz I loved the nursery and the plants you bought. They look beautiful where you put them. We have broken many shovel handles through the yearsπ. Enjoy your afternoon. Love and blessings ππΈπ
Thanks for the taking me along Liz. It's always a pleasure to come garden with you.

Thank you so much for another great video. Oh my gosh I love this garden center. Thank you so much for taking me. Those beautiful butterflies were just gorgeous. I canβt wait to find some like those and pick up two or three for my garden. They would stand so beautiful next to my sunflowers so many beautiful ferns and beautiful flowers everywhere so many great things for my fairy garden. Hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie. I watched from the beginning to the end and of courseI canβt wait to see those wonderful tomatoes plant you want to buy and see the beautiful tomatoes youβre gonna grow hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie.

Beautiful place with plants, the view from the kitchen is wonderful β€β€β€
Purple poppies. Right a girl cannot have too many flowers, or ornaments. Lowes carries a UV spray, and I use it on all my ornaments, by Hellman's.
Here in the PNW, my βDisneylandβ is Baumanβs. Itβs about 4 hours away from me but they have fun events several times a year. Iβm taking an overnight trip with a fellow gardening friend in April to attend their Gardenpalooza. I know one of the plants Iβll be getting while there are sun gold tomatoes. Thanks, for sharing your adventures. Theyβre so much fun to watch! πͺ΄β€οΈ
Thanks for sharing!
Love my anemone, I have the red and blue/purple
That garden center looks amazing! I could imagine spending hours there. You picked some gorgeous plants! That lilac vine is going to be stunning in that spot!
Your garden definitely looks happy! The vibrant colors are always nice to see. I will be visiting green acres this weekend, while visiting my sister in the area. It looks so fun! π
My friend, Liz, you can buy a replacement shovel handle at a hardware store. Love the lilac vine and all your flowers. Yes, all the plant tones are great. It's already 94Β° here in San Antonio today!
β€great haul. My favoritebis the helebores. And this year im growing anemones from corm.
I love green acres! It is a long drive for me. I wish they would build one in yuba city.
So happy you were able to get that stump out. The area is looking great already!
why would you put bulbs in a container? they only bloom once and are gone. Plus they naturalize and will multiply, thus in a container they cannot spread
Have you checked out Grocery Outlet in Manteca, CA for garden stuff? Tons of flower pots & other spring/summer items. Great prices on pots. They also have seeds.
Your garden is beautiful π
Itβs interesting because I was thinking about planting a purple lilac vine this week. I am still researching on this beauty. I hope you enjoy having it in your garden. π Have a great day.
