We are going to grow grass from seed in the dead of summer. This beautiful retaining wall just got installed which left us with a huge yard of dirt. Now, is growing grass from seed in Texas in summer the most logical thing to do? No. But it’s either me or the weeds and the weeds are not taking over. Plus, my HOA is not happy about the dirt. So, we’re taking care of the dirt with these seed mats. And if it looks like we’ve got a rough start, that is because we did. But Steve is the instruction reader in this relationship, and so I blame him. We put down 200 ft², but since I measured with my heart, we ran out. Oops.

    I'll never understand HOA's as a European, they'd be a riot if someone tried to tell someone else what to do with their house
