I now have one pot of cat grass in every room in my house because he's been an absolute menace to plant society. Good news is that its working. Bad news is that he knocked another plant off of a shelf to make more room for himself to munch comfortably… so that pot now has its own shelf.

Love this! My SIL planted cat grass for his cats… they weren’t interested so he threw it out. ๐
Take it up a notch and plant catnip lol
My girl adores her grass. Every morning she spends about an hour sitting on her window ledge staring at the birds and nibbling her grass. She’s never shown interest in any of my other plants but she loves grass. If I fail to refill it on time she sits on the window sill and yells. I exist to serve her needs and rarely let that happen.ย
I have little pots of wheatgrass for my dogs to munch on when they get upset bellies ๐
I like that I can control what they are eating this way instead of foraging outside when they have some mild nausea. Also, since I live in Alaska and half the year, our yard is snowpack, they get to have access to it year round! Yay for fiber lol.
They do also nibble on it sometimes just for fun.
Huh. Mine just bypass it and go straight to the no no plants. Sigh.
Not nice to call him an idiot. Such a love!!

I did this forever ago and it worked so well! I made her a little field by using a shallow tote and she would lay in it an eat it lol. My plants fared better after too!
My boy that messes with plants got him some cat grass…. he rips it out from the root and leaves dirt all over but doesn’t mess with anything else since i hung my spider plant out of his little trippin’ ass self reach.
I’ve been growing a couple of different grasses from seed, and I couldn’t understand why they weren’t growing. Then I realised that my one cat keeps chewing on them. ๐
Mines loves his cat grass so much he eats till he pukes ๐ฎโ๐จ
I did not know about car grass so THANK YOU. And congrats that it seems to be working ๐
I never had many issues with my cats eating my plants but still got cat grass for them so they wouldn’t be tempted. My old boy who passed last year loved chewing the grass, but his sister would puke after eating it. Thankfully she still leaves the big plants alone even though I don’t get her grass anymore.
I did this too, and it actually worked! But Iโve learned that spider plants have to be FAR out of reach.
I can never keep these alive ๐ญ please share where you got it from and tips
