Hello! My 6 year old monstera has become a giant unruly mess, I'm wondering what growth training methods or growth light sources would help get this plant back to a more uniform look. I had to emergency re-pot on Sunday, as the plant was so top-heavy it toppled over. It had already busted open it's previous pot and was due for a repotting, but decided the time was now for me. This is all surprisingly one plant! I had to make do with what I could find at the only open store at 9pm on a Sunday haha, this trellis was the tallest/most stable looking option I could find. I have a pendant style growth light above that's timed for 14hrs a day, but the plant still reaches for the light and tends to spread out. Unfortunately it's so huge, that corner is the only place it really fits in my home! First 3 pics are from it's Sunday repotting, and the final pic is how it looked at my old place. It was definitely much happier right in front of the west facing window, and so much easier to tame back then. I'd love to get it back to a more tidy look in my current place given the space/positioning limitations.

you don’t, it’s gorgeous
i think it looks more beautiful and unique like this i wish mine wasn’t tame
Give it away to a stranger… like me. lol
Chop and prop? I give cuttings to friends and family
Try pinching new growth off
I want to say keep it but the light set up is all wonky. It’s not hitting the leaves head-on which could cause die-back.
Unless you can get some of the nodes to activate, it may be best to chop her down next spring. I’ve had a comparable issue with an adansonii that eventually dropped enough bottom leaves to where it just didn’t look “balanced.”
I also chopped a monstera of similar size down to the soil and its way bushier/fuller than she was beforehand. As long as the stem/main plant is mature, they’ll kick massive leaves back out in no time.
I will try and attach a before and after when I get home so you can see visually if it might achieve the effect your looking for
