Gardeners’ World has been dropped from the TV schedules tonight.
Monty Don and the team of gardeners will not be on our screens as usual at 8pm on Friday evening on BBC Two due to a clash with live sport.
The much-loved horticultural programme has been replaced on the TV schedules by the World Cup qualifier match between Germany and Northern Ireland game, which will kick-off at 7.45pm.

Gardeners’ World will return next week to BBC Two at 8pm, when viewers will see Monty harvesting sweetcorn, taking stock of the plants he has in pots and pruning summer-fruiting raspberries ahead of autumn.
Tonight, Stephen Watson will present all the action from both teams’ second FIFA World Cup Group A qualifier, held at RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne.
Germany have qualified for every World Cup finals in history apart from the one they were banned from entering in 1950.
In contrast, Northern Ireland have only qualified on three occasions, and the most recent of those was back in 1986.
The teams last met at UEFA Euro 2020 qualifications, when Germany won 2-0 at Windsor Park and 6-1 in Frankfurt.
Monty Don has served as the cherished face of the beloved BBC show since 2003 following Alan Titchmarsh’s departure.
Earlier this year he spoke about how he has been affected by a loss of smell believed to have been brought about by Covid.
Speaking on the Gardeners’ World Magazine podcast, he revealed: “Perfume is almost lost on me, occasionally my wife has said, ‘Which perfume do you prefer?’ and they’re both exactly the same to me, or the difference is so small that’s it’s not interesting.
“So clearly that’s a lack, but there’s nothing I can do about it.”
